Video Tour Of The Maternity Suite

I thought I would put together a short video of our ladies in waiting in the maternity suite

I am planning to do a lot more videos from the Ranch showing what we are doing, also from the poly tunnels and growing areas I think its sometimes easier to show things on video.
I hope you enjoy this little tour 🐐👩

  1. Hi Dawn!!! It was SO NICE to hear your voice :) I love your ladies in waiting, and WOW are you prepared. The pens are wonderfully set up and your goats look very comfortable. I'm so glad you made this video and I can't wait for the next one! I wonder if you could capture any of the births?

  3. I agree with Rain!
Hearing your voice made you become real!
Thank you, it was a privilege to be allowed to share your video.
As you say it helps us visualise what's happening. Whilst it's exciting it must be slightly scary too being there on your own. All the best. Surely they won't keep you waiting much longer. Do goats go long past their birth date as a rule? Sue

    1. they can go a week either way, the Billy we borrowed was here for 4 weeks so in reality we have a 4 week window so its a case of watching for signs

    1. having everything ready gives me peace of mind, I also think if everything is ready it will go smoothly without intervention, if things were not ready there would be problems, its a psychological thing

  6. Gosh....I just thought they got on with it on their own. I didn't realise that you had to have all that paraphenalia for them. Very interesting.
They look very cosy in their new home-x-

    1. most of the time they will just get on with it, but sometimes things go wrong and they need assistance, being able to help if needed could save the mama or baby life, things can go wrong very quickly.
