Time To Celebrate

At last BT open reach have come to there senses and have done a temporary repair
on my way back from the village yesterday I saw a man scrambling through the undergrowth behind the barrier, I stopped to see if he was OK,
then noticed he was from BT Open Reach
He told me he was looking for a gully under the road to bring the cables through
after a chat he informed me he was given the job today and was surprised that we had been without since January, as he was sent on a repair job the day before for some-one who had lost there supply over the week end,
He went on to say a temporary repair could have done weeks ago.
He promised to try his best and get us up and running.
yesterday evening YYYYYYYYYYEEEEAHHHHHHHHH
we were re-connected.

I have learned two things through this,
all those sites I bookmark because there info or recipes I want
never again, I am going to print out, write out and keep my own copies
Also it has shown up a gap in my reference books
I will now be doing a bit of book shopping.

They are doing a proper repair on the 13th of March road will be closed
Then on the 22nd April they are replacing poles that are worse for wear.

Its great to sit at home with a cuppa and blog :-)

  3. Yeeeeha!! You must be so relieved. Couldn't imagine going a day without access ;)

What I do is download the recipes, save them to Word, file them under the different main ingredient, and then I can access them at any time I need to.

  4. Bliss to be blogging again I would guess. I really don't know what I would do without it now - expect you feel the same.

  5. Dawm, glad you are back!!! I have changed my online habits since the glich we recently had sent our laptop crazy. I now have 3 bookmarks; my blog, pinterest, my email log on page and that is it. I am carful with Pinterest because you don't know what is attached to the pin you are re-pinning. I no longer bank online. I print recipes off. If it were possible I would cheerfully give up all technology. We are having a mobile mast up and running soon, apparently, and I'm really not bothered as have got out of the habit of using it. Rant over, sorry.xx

  16. Glad to see you back and in the swing again. Bitterly cold here tonight we have not had any snow - we tend to miss it unless it really is horrendous elsewhere and then perhaps a sprinkling. Needless to say the cats are hogging the house. Just got to look for a new slow cooker bowl! Little darlings. Glad you are back. x
