Today was one of those normal days,
Got 2 loads of washing done out on the line drying in the sunshine
Painted some of the display units that I will be using for craft fairs
Got the two fleeces out of the fermenting bin, rinsed them with rain water and left them drying in the sunshine
picked a few caterpillars off the brasicas and squashed them
updated my laptop to windows 10, that was fairly straight forward and painless.
Just got back from walking Sol in the woods and brought everything in to start extracting honey tonight a bit of a sticky job.
I have only taken some of the frames, want to leave them plenty for winter, I will do a honey post later in the week.
Yesterday I spent time in the cabin sewing, Martin was getting grass cut we then scooted off to the beach, fish and chips in the sunshine sat on the harbour wall a lovely end to the day, Sol had a bit of swim and rolled in the sand he was a very tired doggy when we headed home.
Col updated his laptop to 10 and lost virus protection, google earth, kindle and a few other things. I'm leaving mine where it is
ReplyDeleteSo far everything is still here not lost anything :-)
DeleteThose kind of days are just great aren't they? Love the sound of fish and chips by the sea with a lab loving the beach too :)
ReplyDeleteTaking Sol to the beach is like taking a kid he gets all excited and its a big bonus if he finds an abandoned ice cream even if its covered it sand :-)
DeleteFermenting fleeces - I am utterly intrigued - off to research!
ReplyDeleteThere is a post on my craft blog about cleaning fleeces by fermenting :-)
DeleteSometimes I think those are the best sort of days, catch up ones, but LOVELY when rounded off with fish and chips by the sea!
ReplyDeleteYes its great to tick those niggly jobs off the list :-)
DeleteI'm liking Windows10,
ReplyDeleteso far so good :-)
Deletei got windows 10 about 2 months ago, it was a fun novelty for a while talking to cortana but now i just forget about it lol :)
ReplyDeleteI managed to boil some caterpillars the other day when collecting nettles for wool dye , whoops! haha :)
It's been forever since we've had fish and chips. Yummy! xx
I dont like the idea of my computer talking to me that just dosent seem right :-)
DeleteSounds like a good day - especially with yummy honey to look forward to! xx
ReplyDeleteHoney harvests are the best :-)
DeleteOh now that is a really productive and enjoyable day. But fish and chips in the sunshine! Now that is a real treat!
ReplyDeleteYou fleece has come up well, and after seeing how yours have turned out I might have a go next year.
As for Windows 10, I dare not update my computer because I don't think it would cope with the work an update would require. I really need to get another PC, but keep putting it off, which is unwise because the last thing I need is a dead computer on my hands!
You did indeed have an enjoyable day because I could sense it in your post.
It was a very relaxing day, I have 2 lap tops I have everything back up all over the place just in case they should die on me :-)
DeleteWhen I read the title of your post I expected you to have been busy and I wasn't wrong. How lovely to top the day before off with a stroll on the beach and fish and chips though, and I'm sure Sol enjoyed himself too.
ReplyDeleteSol loves a trip to the sea side he gets all excited i the car when he can see the sea :-)
DeleteFish and Chips in the sunshine.. can't get much better than that! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe little pleasures of life :-)
DeleteTell meplease - are there advantages to updating to Windows 10? I keep getting a note on my screen advising me to do so, but not sure why.
ReplyDeleteI must say that your day sounds a nice mixture of jobs done and pleasant leisure activities.
I find windows 10 easier to navigate and i dont have to deal with those apps all over my screen :-)
DeleteFish and chips and a couple of pints of real ale would be the end of my perfect day. If only it would been sunny every day.
ReplyDeleteIf it was sunny every day it would be boring :-)
DeleteWhat an awesome day, rounded off with fish and chips. Lovely moments to cherish.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a lovely day. Fish n chips at the seaside cannot be bettered. I changed to Windows 10 at the weekend. So glad I did as had been experiencing all sorts of problems including taking ages to load but have got the speed back at long last. Very easy to use so far I like it better than Windows 7! I was also getting messages saying memory was low but the new software seems to have sorted that as well. Glad Sol is bringing you so much pleasure and that he is settling in.
ReplyDeleteTake care
