The first of my tomatoes have set, there are 4 babies on this plant, brilliant I was so excited when I spotted them, this tomato plant is called Black Russian, it as done well for me before and produces nice big fruits.
A lifestyle change took place when we moved to our smallholding in Wales, we are leaving behind the consumerism of life, growing our food, raising our meat, living our lives to the full, enjoying every day the highs and lows of country living, but not going without just doing it better.
Oooohh it's always so exiting getting your first tomatoes! Fantastic! :D xx
ReplyDeleteYay! I will get to look at your lovely ripe tomatoes when we are in winter! I want to try Black Russian this year as I have heard they taste amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour gardens are way in front of ours.
ReplyDeleteI have flowers but no fruit yet, I have never grown Black Russian, perhaps you will save some seeds for a swap later. I do have some Super Marmande plants coming on, the fruits are big and crinkly, they make a great sauce or soup.
ReplyDeleteSam as Pam here loads of flowers, all our tomatoes are planted outside this year.
ReplyDeleteNot even any flowers up here in the North! However, not having a greenhouse to use they're all outside. Hoping for sun... and where's the heatwave???
ReplyDeleteHow exciting, I have flowers on mine no fruit yet though. I do have a couple of chillies though x
ReplyDeleteWow! How exciting - I can almost taste it already!, x
ReplyDeleteI'm not talking to you niw! Mine are way off yet but I should have potted them on ages ago.
ReplyDeleteLiterally just watching Monty Don planting tomatoes! xx
