March Give Away

I mistakenly ordered this book I already had it and I thought I was ordering Maynard's second book, its brand new and looking for a home. If you would like to go into the draw for it leave a comment, I will do the draw end of the week. I don't mind posting abroad.
I hope you have all had a nice relaxing Mother's Day, my three kids got in contact which was lovely and had a chat with my mother in law in France, I did spend a bit of time looking through some photos of my mum, at times I find it hard to believe she is gone, she would have loved it here in Wales, I spent most of the day quilting down in the cabin and sorting out more of the ex shop stuff, it has been a nice dry day weather wise and Martin was doing more of the poly tunnel.
All in all a good day all round and a bonus I found the lead for my camera, I have been looking for it for months, my new lap top doesn't read from the memory card like my old lap top so I needed the lead to transfer photos.
We did get the Cranberry Gin strained and bottled this morning
Its a lovely colour and has a lovely taste with a hint of orange.
I got out the broad bean seeds we saved from our own broad beans last year and we put them between moist paper
This way we can check if they are viable before planting, in a few days they should start germinating if they are viable, I don't like broad beans but martin does so we only grow a few.
All in all a great day :-)

  3. I am a fan of broad beans but they have to be young and very fresh so I grow a few plants, the flowers have the sweetest perfume. I would love a chance to win the book, I have cured bacon in the past but can hardly remember anything but the wonderful flavour.

  4. Love broad beans here but no space to grow them, great idea to ensure they all grow.
